Arthritis cure

Inflammation in joints that causes stiffness in joints and pain is called Arthritis. Osteoarthritis is a very common disease these days. It gets worse with age and this is because of the wear and tear over the years.

There is no getting rid of arthritis once you’ve got it, but you can always keep it at bay by not worsening it further. To treat arthritis, doctors prescribe painkillers and anti-inflammatory medicines. Instead of regularly opting for intake of medicines, you can alternatively treat arthritis naturally.

Need to lose weight

Arthritis affects overweight people easily. Yes!! Your joints may not have the strength to hold your weight. So when you force your body to do all your activities with extra pressure on the joints, it will lead to inflammation of the joints. It not only causes pain in joints, it makes your joints stiff, in such a way that cannot move easily.

Best way to ease the situation is to, control your diet and start working out. Running or jogging is not advised for people who have pain in the knee. Brisk walking regularly for 40 minutes a day will be very helpful. You need to cut down on the sugar and fat in your regular diet.

Turmeric and Ginger

Both turmeric and ginger have anti-inflammatory properties and will help you treat inflammation in the affected joints. You can include turmeric and ginger in your daily cooking.

You can also directly chew on freshly cut ginger two times a day. You can make tea out of turmeric and ginger for effective results.

How to make ginger tea

  1. Boil water, add freshly cut turmeric root and ginger.
  2. Let it boil for 5 more minutes to get the essence of it.
  3. Let it cool.
  4. Strain the tea and add honey to taste.

You can consume this tea twice a day.

Hot and cold therapy

You can use ice packs to relieve pain in the joints. This will help you relax the stiffness in the muscles. Ice packs can be used minimum of 3 times a day or more.

You can use heat to reduce the pain in joints and help relax the muscles from stiffness. You can heat a cloth with the help of a dry pan and pat it over the pain area. You can also use electric heat generator belts that are available in the market.

A hot shower or dip in the hot water bath tub will definitely help you reduce the pain.

Increase the dosage of magnesium

Magnesium has a wonderful property that helps our body to gain bone strength and relieve pain in joints and muscles. People who take magnesium supplements have greater bone density and strength than people who dint. You can consume magnesium in the form of capsules (with the advice of doctors) and also eat a lot of magnesium rich food.

Green leafy vegetables, legumes (beans) and nuts have good amount of magnesium you can find what other food is rich in magnesium and include in your diet on a regular basis. Pumpkin seeds are a great source of magnesium and may be chewed on.

Magnesium rich oil is available in the market, which you can topically apply on the joints for pain relief.

Mustard seeds

Including mustard seeds in your diet helps relief from inflammation and pain. The selenium, magnesium and omega-3 fatty acids helps a lot. Applying mustard oil externally in affected area is said to be very effective and it has been traditionally used for decades by our ancestors.

Blackstrap molasses

Blackstrap molasses is something which is extracted or left out after the third boiling stage of the sugar syrup. It has many good nutrients than the sugar extracted from the initial stages!! As a dietary supplement this can be consumed as a drink to help your increase the vital minerals like calcium, potassium, and magnesium.

How to make the drink

  1. Heat water until it is warm.
  2. Mix one spoon of blackstrap molasses powder that is available in the market.
  3. Strain the tea

As blackstrap molasses have laxative effect, it is better to consume this drink only once a day.

Bosweilla supplement

Bosweilla is a plant that is found in Asia and Africa. The extract of the plant has anti-inflammatory properties which can help your swollen joints. It also acts as a pain killer. There is no direct consumption of this herb like a tea and including in food, but the extracts in available in form of medicine in drug stores. With the advice of physicians, you can take prescribed amount of dosage.

There are plenty of natural herbal oils available in stores for massages. You can chose any according to your preference and use it regularly for better results.
