Amla juice for detox and weight loss

Health benefits of Amla (Indian gooseberry)

It is rich in Vitamin C and can help to cure sore throat and common cold.

It is a fibre rich fruit and can help to cure constipation.

A powder made with dried amla (known as Nelli mulli in Tamil) can be mixed with water or olive oil and can be applied as a hair pack. This hair pack delays graying, improves hair texture, reduces hair fall and cures dandruff.

Amla pack can prevent and reduce lice.

Amla is a blood purifier and can help to prevent the occurrence of acne.

Improves heart health.

Reduces blood sugar levels and can fight against diabetes.

Amla juice for detox and weight loss – Recipe

  • 2-3 Fruits Amla (Known as Indian Gooseberry)
  • 2 teaspoons Cumin seeds (Known as Jeera in India)
  • 1 teaspoon Honey
  • 250 ml Filtered water
  1. You will need fresh amla fruits, filtered water, cumin seeds and honey to make this drink.
  2. Chop amla fruits into small pieces.
  3. Place the chopped fruit in a blender.
  4. Add 2 teaspoons of cumin seeds (Jeera) to the blender.
  5. Add 1 teaspoon of honey.
  6. Add filtered water.
  7. Blend all ingredients together for a few minutes till the blend completely.
  8. Run the juice through a strainer.
  9. The detoxifying juice is done.

You can drink this juice daily.

This detox juice may not be suitable for those with a sinusitis condition since Amla may aggravate the condition in some.
