Celery can supply substantial amounts of nutrition in the form of vitamins, minerals and anti-oxidants.

It improves the immune system and helps to fight effectively against various diseases. Due to the presence of anti-oxidants, it can prevent respiratory infections that are common in children.

Regulates bowel movements and can prevent digestive disorders. Indigestion and constipation can be prevented by consumption of celery. You can also make salads with celery and have them eat it. But that’s a little tricky! You can enhance the taste using onions and yogurt.

Garlic has excellent amounts of anti-oxidants that can boost immunity in children. This makes them more resistant to diseases and especially respiratory disorders such as cough, cold and flu. Cloves of garlic contain Allicin, Vitamin C, Selenium and Quercetin which helps to improve eye sight and treat infections in the eye.

Garlic when consumed in the raw form is very helpful to treat respiratory disorders. It can also prevent problems such as Asthma.

Here is the recipe for the celery garlic drink. You can use celery stalks predominantly and some leaves for the flavour.

Celery garlic juice to build immunity – DIY

  • 2 stalks Celery
  • 200 ml Water
  • 3-4 cloves garlic
  1. Use fresh stalks and leaves of celery, filtered water and cloves of garlic to make this juice. Peel the garlic cloves.
  2. Chop the stalk and leaves of celery. Place them in a blender along with garlic cloves. Add 200 ml water.
  3. Blend the ingredients together. Use a strainer to get the extract.
  4. Done.


You can consume 200 ml of this drink 4 times a day.
