Water in copper

Traditionally, only copper vessels were used in India to store water for consumption. Later, due to ignorance, the practice was left behind. But when you know what kind of benefits you get just by drinking water a copper vessel, you will definitely want to try it!!

It has the property to kill viruses and bacteria that cause diarrhea, such as Vibrio cholerae, enteropathogenic E. coli, Salmonella. It is also effective against many other disease-causing bacteria such as, S. flexneri and Salmonella Paratyphi.

Aids digestion

Copper helps our body to digest food in a better way and prevents gas/acidity. It not only helps digestion, but it also reduces the inflammations and infection in our digestive track. It regulates the function of liver and kidneys.

When you consume a tall glass of water from copper vessel, right after you wake up (empty stomach), it helps you detoxify your body and ensure proper absorption of nutrients from the food you consume.

You can wash and clean the copper like a regular vessel. Do not use any harsh soap or scrub on the vessel, as it might scrape of the metal. You can also use lemon juice or baking soda to clean the vessel.

Word of caution: Too much copper may not be good for our body. FDA recommends only 12mg of copper per day. So do not over do the practice. Drink 3 glasses of water from copper vessel per day. That should more than sufficient for your body.
