Fuller's earth face mask

Fuller’s earth (Multani mitti) is a type of clay that is used topically for its various benefits to skin. It can clear acne, remove blemishes, prevent wrinkles, reduce sun tan and can give you an even skin tone. Milk powder supplies the necessary moisture and ensures that the clay does not remove all the moisture and maintains a balance.

Fuller’s earth face mask for clearing acne – Suitable for oily skin

This face mask is good for those with oily skin since Fuller’s earth (Multani mitti) absorbs the oily leaving your skin fresh. But for those with dry skin, this mask would dry out your skin even more. So I would not suggest this mask.

  • 1 teaspoon Milk powder
  • 2 teaspoons Fuller’s earth (Also known as Multani mitti)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Almond oil
  • 1 teaspoon Honey
  1. Take a teaspoon of milk powder in a bowl.
  2. Add 1 teaspoon of raw honey to it. Honey can give you soft skin, reduce blemishes and remove sun tan.
  3. Add a few drops of almond oil. Almond oil is not sticky like many other oils and this protein rich oil has excellent benefits for the skin.
  4. You might have to add water (or rose water – if pure one is available) and mix it into a smooth paste.
  5. The paste can be a watery since we will be adding Fuller’s earth. This will thicken the paste instantly.
  6. Add two teaspoons of Fuller’s earth.
  7. Mix well and you now have a thick paste.
  8. The face pack is ready to be applied. Apply the mask with your fingers starting from your chin and moving upwards. Leave it on for 20 minutes and wash off with cold water.
  1. You can apply this paste 4 – 5 times a week with no side effects.
  2. Since honey and milk powder are added, this paste will not dry out your skin and will maintain a nice moisture.
