Mangosteen is a fruit that originated in Sunda Islands and the Moluccas of Indonesia and is now widely available in several South East Asian regions. The fruit, twig and its bark find their use in medicine for many health problems. Mangosteen has a deep purple skin and white edible flesh with seeds. It is also known as “Queen of fruits” as it tastes delicious.
