The remedy

This remedy uses cloves and haritaki to reduce the symptoms of constipation and nausea. Cloves are used for their carminative properties as they increase digestive juices (which is basically hydrochloric acid) which in turn enhances digestion. When food is digested properly, most often the root cause of constipation is addressed. You can improve the working of this remedy by drinking warm water thoughout the day. This not only helps to keep the body sufficiently hydrated, but also improves bowel movement.

In India, most often cloves and ginger are used together to remedy any digestive problem. But in this remedy we use Haritaki for its amazing body coolant properties. Another reason is that many pregnant women are not comfortable consuming ginger – it causes acid reflux and heart burn. But Haritaki does not cause any such issue for pregnant women but is equally or even more effective.
