Remedy to regulate menstruation

Irregular menstruation is a common problem that affect many women in the reproductive age. It is medically known as oligomenorrhea. Irregular menstruation occurs due to many reasons such as hormonal imbalance, eating disorders, weight loss or gain, irritable bowel movement, liver disease, diabetes, uterine abnormalities, miscarriage, anemia, thyroid disorders (1), menopause, recent birth or other health conditions. Other factors such as increased exercise, travel, stress, caffeine, alcohol abuse, smoking habits and birth control pills can also affect the menstrual cycle. Here is a simple home remedy to regulate menstruation.

The remedy – Take 25 grams of white turmeric (Poolankilangu) and grind into a fine powder. Add one teaspoon of white turmeric powder to boiled milk. Consume this milk once a day to regulate menstruation.

White turmeric is scientifically called as Curcuma Zedoaria , Zitwer in German, Cedoaria in Spanish, Zedoaire in French, Poolankilangu in Tamil, Kachura or Kachur in Hindi, Kachoram in Telugu, and Kachora in Kannada.

How to regulate menstruation with home remedy – DIY

  • 200 ml Boiled milk
  • 25 gram White turmeric (Poolankilangu in Tamil)
  1. To make the drink, use boiled milk and white turmeric/zedoary (Poolankilangu).
  2. Add 25 gram of white turmeric to a blender.
  3. Blend well into a fine powder.
  4. Add one teaspoon of white turmeric powder to the boiled milk.
  5. Mix it well.
  6. Drink is done.

Dosage:

Consume this drink once daily to regulate menstruation.
