Banana is one of the best home remedies to combat insomnia. Banana contains an amino acid namely tryptophan which helps raise serotonin levels and thus regulates sleep pattern. Also the minerals present in banana have natural sleep inducing effect and used to treat insomnia.

Cumin seeds have lot of medicinal properties which helps in good digestion, also it induces sleep.

Half teaspoon cumin seed powder, and honey mixed with two teaspoons of ripe banana can be consumed in the night to induce sleep.

How to treat insomnia with banana – DIY

  • 1/2 Banana pulp
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin seed powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Honey
  1. Use banana pulp, cumin seeds powder and honey.
  2. Take half ripe banana in a bowl.
  3. Mash well and make it into a smooth paste.
  4. Add cumin seeds powder.
  5. Add honey.
  6. Mix them well.
  7. Done.
