Kuppaimeni flush out worms

Kuppaimeni or Indian Nettle leaves is a plant that grows abundantly in many tropical region. It grows easily and requires little or no maintenance. The leaves can be consumed internally after cooking it like any other green vegetable. It can also be used externally to cure minor wounds, cuts, rashes and boils, to remove hair from the body, to cure acne and so on. In this specific remedy, we see how Indian nettle leaves can be used to flush out worms in kids.

The remedy

This remedy is basically a simple decoction of kuppaimeni leaves. When you boil the leaves in water, you get the extract of the leaves. Consuming this extract can help to flush out worms from the intestine. For adults, you can either increase the dose or use more leaves and make it more concentrated.

Indian nettle to flush out worms in kids – DIY

  • 15 – 20 Indian Nettle (Kuppaimeni leaves)
  • 300 ml Water
  1. To make the drink use Indian nettle (Kuppaimeni) leaves and water.
  2. Take 10 to 15 Indian nettle leaves and place the leaves in a vessel.
  3. Add 300 ml of water to vessel.
  4. Place the vessel on a stove.
  5. Boil the leaves in water for 2 minutes.
  6. Switch off and allow to cool. Strain the drink.
  7. Drink is done.


Feed this drink to the kids twice a day to flush out worms.

Health benefits of Indian nettle leaves

Applying the paste of Indian nettle leaves can help to fade away stretch marks gradually. When Acalypha Indica leaves are used along with Gotu Kola leaves, it works much faster to clear stretch marks. This remedy would not restore skin completely but you will definitely find a great deal of difference.

The leaves of Indian nettle can be ground along with wild turmeric (Kasthuri manjal) into a paste. Regular application of this paste removed facial and body hair. But this does not prevent regrowth of hair. This helps to remove hair naturally with everyday use and is much better than waxing where we end up losing skin elasticity and it is so painful!

Kuppaimeni leaves can be sauted in sesame oil and can be cooked like a vegetable. You can add black gram or mung beans, salt, pepper, chilli powder and any other seasoning. This can be consumed along with rice. It is very nutritious and can be consumed by all ages.
