Natural remedy to cure earache

Ear ache is a common problem and many might have experienced it in childhood or post swimming or post travel. Pain usually occurs because of internal inflammation in the ear canal. This inflammation cannot be seen from the outside or the ear cartilage. There are many ear drops that ease the earache and provide relief. But when you are looking for a natural remedy, you have Manathakkali leaves, also called as black night shade, which can reduce the pain and treat inflammation.

Manathakkali, whose botanical name is Solanum nigrum, is a plant that has many medicinal benefits and is also commonly found on the road sides. It bears a black berry (small in size), which you can just pluck and eat! The plant’s leaf, stem and the berry are used to treat many health ailments.

Natural remedy to cure earache – DIY

  • 5 – 6 Holy Basil (Tulsi) leaves
  • 5 – 6 Black night shade leaves (Manathakkali)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Water
  1. To treat earache, you need fresh tulsi leaves and black night shade leaves.
  2. Clean the leaves and place it in a mortar.
  3. Add few drops of water and crush it.
  4. Squeeze and extract the juice from the crushed leaves.

Instructions for use:

  1. Instill 3-4 drops of the extract in each ear.
  2. Repeat the process every 3 hours.
