Indian borage to cure indigestion

Indian borage, also called as mexican mint, is a herb that is commonly found in the bushes. This herb contains plenty of medicinal benefits in it and helps to treat many ailments. It is a popular medicine to cure cough, cold and chest congestion in children and adults. This herb is also used traditionally to cure indigestion in an effective way.

This article explains how to use Indian borage along with other ingredients to cure indigestion naturally. The other ingredients in this recipe are – Coconut, red chilli and salt.

Indian borage

This herb is commonly used in treating many ailments like osteoporosis, arthritis, cough, cold, chest congestion, relieves stress and anxiety, helps in treating cancer, boosts immunity, improves kidney health and treats fever. Apart from these, Indian borage is used to cure indigestion and IBS (irritable bowel syndrome). This aids in effective functioning of the intestines and soothes the inflamed muscles in the abdomen area. This herb triggers and stimulated the acid secretion that is responsible in regulating digestion.

Red chilli

Red chilli or dry chilli, is usually added in food for taste and spice. This chilli has many components in it that helps to treat health issues. It can regulate blood pressure, reduce cholesterol, reduces the chances of stroke, boosts blood circulation, purifies blood, boosts immunity and aids weight loss. When it consumed, it stimulated the secretion of more saliva and acids that reduces flatulence and indigestion. It contains vitamin A, vitamin B6, vitamin C, magnesium, potassium, iron and traces of protein.

Coconut and salt

Coconut is a one of the most naturally available food that be directly consumed to treat many health ailments and for general well being. The essential fatty acids and water content available in coconut helps to reduce acid reflux that is caused due to indigestion and stomach upsets. Salt triggers digestion and regulated blood pressure when consumed moderately.

Natural remedy to cure indigestion – DIY recipe

  • 2 Indian borage leaves ((Karpooravalli))
  • 1 Red chilli ((dry))
  • 2 teaspoon Grated coconut
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  1. To cure indigestion, you need Indian borage, salt, dry chilli and grated coconut.
  2. Clean the leaves and add to a blender.
  3. Next, add grated coconut.
  4. Add red chilli.
  5. Finally, add salt.
  6. Blend it. Add few drops of water of required.
  7. Ready to consume.

Consume one teaspoon of this paste to cure indigestion.
