Pineapple coriander smoothie for kids

A healthy drink made with coriander leaves and pineapple chunks can give lot of nutrition that kids need. The various health benefits of a juice made with pineapple and coriander are listed below:

Coriander (or cilantro) leaves contain substantial amounts of Vitamins C, K, Calcium, Phosphorous, Thiamine and Potassium. It also has lot of protein in it.

The leaves of coriander provide essential nutrients without adding calories.

Cilantro helps to lower cholesterol, it improves bowel and liver function and helps to have a healthy urinary function.

Coriander leaves have anti-inflammatory properties. It helps to relieve pain the joints to arthritis or gout.

The leaves are filled with anti-oxidants and can improve overall immunity. They are also great for the vision and can help to improve eye sight. Due to the high quantities of Vitamin C in pineapple, the fruit is also good to improve immunity. They are filled with anti-oxidants and can fight free radicals that cause cancer.

Pineapple coriander health drink for kids – Recipe

  • 5-6 Slices Pineapple
  • 10-15 stalks Coriander leaves
  • 500 ml Filtered water
  1. Cut a few chunks of pineapple or cut it as slices, wash coriander leave and keep them ready.
  2. Place pineapple and coriander leaves in a blender.
  3. Pour water into the blender.
  4. Blend on high for a few minutes.
  5. Pour into a glass and enjoy!

You can give this drink to kids twice a week. The recipe can be done with other fruits as well.
