Pepper to cure sore throat

Sore throat or throat pain is caused by either acute pharyngitis, throat inflammation or as a symptom of other ailments like common cold, sinusitis, influenza, or measles.  The common symptoms of sore throat are severe throat pain, scratchiness, and difficulty to swallow and talk. Here is a simple home remedy to treat sore throat.

The remedy

Take one teaspoon of black pepper and water. Dry roast black pepper in a low flame. Crush pepper and boil in water. Strain and drink twice a day. This will give you a good relief from the pain and inflammation associated with sore throat.

Black pepper is known as warm spice and it has the ability to provide immediate relief from sore throat. Black pepper contains minerals like calcium, copper, magnesium, manganese, iron, phosphorous, and potassium. It also has vitamins like vitamin C, K, B6, and riboflavin.

  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 200 ml Water
  1. To make the drink use black pepper and water.
  2. Add one teaspoon of black pepper to pan.
  3. Dry roast them in low flame.
  4. Add the roasted black pepper to mortar and crush them.
  5. Take 200 ml water in a pan.
  6. Add the crushed black peppers to pan
  7. Boil for few minutes.
  8. Allow to cool and strain.
